One of the most common challenges in contributing to the Insight section is facing the blank page. While answering questions is more straightforward, writing insights requires identifying patterns, gaps, or opportunities that aren’t always obvious. I wanted to share my personal approach; in case it helps others get started or refine their own process.

🔍 How I Identify Topics Worth Sharing

My ideas usually come from a mix of:

  • Daily interactions with the platform and community.
  • Past experience and self-learning, especially when I notice something that’s:
    • Missing or unclear in the official documentation.
    • Repeatedly asked in different threads or posts.
    • Scattered across multiple discussions but not consolidated in one place.
    • Not easily discoverable via search.

When I spot these gaps, I see an opportunity to create a post that brings clarity and value to others.

🛠️️ How I Structure My Insight Posts

Once I’ve identified a topic, I:

  • Break it down into clear sections with simple explanations.
  • Include practical examples or PoCs to demonstrate the concept.
  • Use relevant keywords at the beginning of the title for better SEO.
  • Avoid emojis in the title (thanks to feedback from @Danny Pancratz !) and instead use relevant hashtags to improve discoverability.
  • Add emojis within the content to keep it engaging and visually digestible—especially for longer posts.

💡 Pro Tip

AI tools have been super helpful in:

  • Correcting grammar.
  • Suggesting better titles and tags.
  • Summarizing content for clarity.

🙌 Giving Credit Where It’s Due

Sometimes, a community member’s question or comment inspires me to dig deeper into a concept. When that happens, I tag them in the post so they can explore the topic further—especially if they’re curious about the why and how behind a solution.
