Hackathon: Explore Parallel Execution with New Workflow Features
Participate in Unqork’s latest Community Hackathon and showcase the power of using no-code!
Challenge yourself to build a custom application with Unqork and compete with other developers for one-of-a-kind prizes. The finalists will be invited to demo their work during a live Use Case Showcase event where the audience votes to determine the winner.
Prizes include Unqork Swag, coveted Community badges, and a year’s worth of bragging rights! Additionally, all participants in this Hackathon will receive 100 points and the Hackathon Participant badge on their community profile.
The Challenge
Create a working software application on the Unqork platform that showcases Unqork’s workflow capabilities for parallel execution. Specifically, the Parallel Gateway Split and Join nodes and Exclusive Gateway node for enabling multi-player tasks and flows.
Requirements
- Build your application in Unqork’s Training environment within the Community Hackathon workspace.
- Must be a workflow application.
- Must make use of the Parallel Gateway split node and Exclusive Gateway node (using the Parallel Gateway Join node is also encouraged).
- Must be a working application that can be demoed via Express view.
Evaluation Criteria
- Usage of workflow with an emphasis on parallel execution functionality being the “star” if the application.
- The more sophisticated the application, the better.
- We will be looking for original and creative application use cases.
- Showcases the power of Unqork by including integrations, workflow operations, and a clean application styling in the application use case.
- Creativity and polish of the accompanying demo video.
- Bonus points: use of Marketplace accelerators to add functionality and speed up your build! (Note: The utility of the asset matters; bonus points will be weighted by the impact and effectiveness of the functionality added to your application.)

The Process
- Sign-up using the button above: This is how you receive the submission form and also let us know you plan to participate.
- Build on your own: This is an asynchronous hackathon for our Creators all around the world!
- Submit your app: Use the submission form (emailed to you in step 1) to submit the following:
- Short video explanation of the application (~5 minutes)
- Short description of the application
- Screenshot of their application
- Link to application (in the Community Hackathon workspace in the Training environment)
The Timeline
- Nov 2: Hackathon Launch
- Dec 9: Sign up Deadline (Extended from Dec 1)
- Jan 16: Submission Deadline (Final extended deadline)
- Jan 25: Judges review complete, finalists selected, participants notified
- February: Live Showcase of Finalists
