Hackathon: Integration Gateway

Participate in Unqork’s latest Community Hackathon and showcase the power of building codeless applications!

Challenge yourself (or work as a team!) to build a bespoke application with Unqork and compete with other developers for recognition and prizes. The finalists will be invited to demo their work during a live Use Case Showcase event where the audience votes to determine the winner.

Prizes include Unqork Swag, coveted Community badges, and a year’s worth of bragging rights! Additionally, all participants in this Hackathon will receive 100 points and the Hackathon Participant badge on their community profile. 

The Challenge

Requirements

• Build your application in your company’s staging environment. 
  • Your environment administrator(s) will need to work with your primary Unqork contact to enable the Integration Gateway in your environment.  
• Must make use of the Integration Gateway to connect at least one non-Unqork system.
  • Use of Unqork’s Services Administration is also permitted, but use of Integration Gateway should be essential to your use case. 
• Must be a working application that can be demoed via Express view.
• Compete individually or as a small team (limit 3 Creators). 

Evaluation Criteria

• Use of Integration Gateway and its capabilities; the more advanced, the better.
• The more sophisticated the application, the better.
• We will be looking for original and creative application use cases.
• Showcases the power of Unqork by including integrations, workflow operations, and a clean application styling. 
• Creativity and polish of the accompanying demo video.
• Bonus points for completing the Academy course on Integration Gateway. 
• Bonus points for use of Marketplace accelerators and recent features:
  • Dynamic Refresh
  • Address Search Component
• Separate categories and awards for both individuals and teams.

The Process

1. Sign-up using the button above: This is how you receive the submission form and also let us know you plan to participate. 
2. Build on your own or with your team: Just be sure to submit by the deadline. 
   • This is an asynchronous hackathon for our Creators all around the world!
   • No time minimum or maximum.
   • Maximum 3 Creators per team.
3. Submit your app: Use the submission form (emailed to you in step 1) to submit the following:
   • Short video explanation and demo of the application (~10 minutes)
   • Short description of the application
   • Details on the usage of Integration Gateway

The Timeline*

• April 5: Deadline to sign up
• April 29: Entries due
• May 3: Judging Complete, Finalists Determined
• Mid-May: Showcase Event with Finalists

Judges will select finalists for the individual and team categories by late April and we’ll schedule a live showcase for the audience to determine the winners.

The Prizes

Our judges will determine finalists to invite to our live showcase event. On the showcase, finalists will demo and explain their application. The winners will be determined live via an audience vote. 

Additionally, all participants in this Hackathon will receive points (100 for recipe-only / 200 for full app) and the Hackathon Participant badge on their community profile.
