Hackathon Results: TIAA Team Wins with Travel Buddy, Crum & Forster Team in 2nd with Automatic Bind Process, 3Pillar Team in 3rd
The results are in! After more than 100 Unqork Community votes submitted over the past week, we are happy to announce the results of our latest hackathon! Watch their demos in the video embedded at the bottom of this post!Winners: Travel BuddyThis team from TIAA was comprised of @Shivkumar Hemke, @Apurva Dhamane, and @Shweta R. Patil.Use Case TravelBuddy is Travel Booking Web Application designed for users to have seamless travel experiences. TravelBuddy makes every journey easier and more enjoyable.We have two persona:User Admin.We have used Gen AI Connector, Vega Table, Carousel, Timer component, Workflow, Module Based Application, pdf generation.In their demo (video below) they mention that their use case was inspired by real-life experiences planning a vacation. So there's very interesting story behind we selecting this use case. Actually, what happened is me and my team were planning for some trip travel trips, and we were exploring the sites.And we could see many package options, but we did not see an option to customize it, as per our plan. And we didn't find that option anywhere, so we decided why not use this opportunity and build one. And what can be best other than solving the real challenge with an opportunity? Runners Up: Automatic Bind ProcessThis team from Crum & Forster was comprised of @Anmol Sudan, @Venkat Prathap, and @Kavin Periyasamy (now at Deloitte). Use CaseApplication OverviewAutomatic Bind Process is an end-to-end Quote and Bind application where users can create the Quote and Bind for the insurance policy and is the first step of this process.To complete this process, Underwriter must provide with the following information:1. Email2. Underwriter details3. Insured details4. Annual revenue5. Coverage limitOnce quote is creating successfully the user then go to the dashboard which contains Quoted and Bind records. On this dashboard the user then binds the records and can create the policy number for the records.Use of Integration Gateway1. Snowflake to store the data of Underwriters2. HTTP request to search (GET) Quote model records3. Slack to notify the underwriter about quote and bind process.4. API by Workato to send confirmation mail to the underwriters.5. Unqork customer API to create (POST) Quote and Bind records in the data model.Vega Components1. Vega Table2. Vega image component3. Vega search component After their demo, this team closed with thoughts on the recent enhancements to the Unqork Platform, including UDesigner IDE, Vega runtime, Application Versioning, Integration Gateway, and more. And I would like to close: to give kudos to the Unqork team for letting us use this amazing features of UDesigner - be it Application Versioning: it’s so cool - Branching and Merging. We’re loving it. And so many new features, and it’s it’s new Unqork, it’s a better Unqork, I would say. I’m loving it. Third Place: Career Navigator.AIThis team from 3Pillar was comprised of @Srikanth Dommati, @Ram Singh Gosh, and Sachin Redakar (@sredekar).Use CaseThe Career Navigator.AI Application uses open AI services to map out a career path for users based on their discovery of their professional ambitions.Scope: Uncertain Professional Goals. It was frequently noted in talks with friends and coworkers that most people do not consider their career goals, and those who do frequently do not know how to reach their goals in the quickest amount of time.
